    Uzelac Leads Men to Eighth Place Finish, Coney Helps Women Capture 16th

    For the fourth consecutive race, freshman Josh Uzelac set a personal record, helping the John Brown men’s cross country team capture an eighth place finish while freshman Carly Coney continued her strong season, aiding the women’s team to a 16th place finish at the #JennaStrong Fall Classic, hosted at Wilmington College (Ohio) on Saturday (Oct. 10).

    For the third-consecutive meet, freshmen Josh Uzelac and Carly Coney set a new personal records, helping the John Brown men’s cross country team grab second place and the women’s team post a fourth-place finish at the University of the Ozarks (Ark.) Invitational on Saturday (Oct. 10).

    John Brown University Named Champions of Character Gold Institution

    For the 14th-consecutive year, since the inception of the program, John Brown University has been recognized as a Champions of Character Five-Star Institution by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and on Monday (Sept. 14), JBU earned its first Gold-level nomination since the NAIA changed the classification system in 2013.

    Freshman Carly Coney paced the John Brown women’s cross country team in her first collegiate race to a fifth-place finish this afternoon (Sept. 5) at the Southwest Baptist (Mo.) Bearcat Invitational, held at the Bolivar City Municipal Golf Course.

    Five Programs Named NAIA Scholar-Team for Second Straight Season

    Five John Brown University athletic programs were honored for the second consecutive season as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its 2014-15 Scholar-Team Awards, which included 1,502 programs across the country.

    For the first time in Sooner Athletic Conference history, the league has announced a conference-wide Commissioner's Honor Roll, and John Brown University boasts the fourth-most total honorees with 77, league offices announced today (June 12).
