    The men’s and women’s tennis teams fell in straight sets on Tuesday afternoon at Arkansas – Ft. Smith as the Golden Eagles were unable to capture a single point until the rain forced an early exit on the men’s side.

    Saucedo Leads Women’s Tennis to Weekend Split

    Junior Krizana Saucedo pushed her singles’ mark to 4-0 on the season and the Golden Eagle women’s tennis program (2-2) split a pair of matches this weekend, falling to Ottawa (Kan.), 5-4, on Friday (March 6) before regrouping for an easier 7-2 victory over Midland (Neb.) on Saturday (March 7).

    Women’s Tennis Splits First Games of Season

    A pair of freshman picked up their first victories of their collegiate careers and two players finished singles competition with a 2-0 mark on the weekend as John Brown stumbled to host Hendrix (Ark.), 7-2, before picking up a win over Ozarks (Ark.), 8-1.

    John Brown Student-Athletes Post 3.10 GPA in Fall Semester

    John Brown University Director of Athletics Robyn Daugherty announced today (Jan. 9) that Golden Eagles student-athletes posted a 3.10 grade-point average for the Fall 2014 semester and that seven of 11 programs earned GPAs over the 3.00 mark.
