    After capturing a huge 6-3 win over Southwest (N.M.) in the Unaffiliated Group Regional Tournament quarterfinals, the Golden Eagle women’s tennis team (7-5) closed is 2015 season with a 9-0 loss to the hands of Louisiana State - Alexandria in the semifinals.

    The John Brown women’s tennis team (4-4) maintained a .500 season average today after taking a 6-3 decision from Southwestern Christian (Okla.) before falling 9-0 to No. 10 Oklahoma Baptist this afternoon at the OBU Tennis Courts.

    In her first singles action of her career, freshman Clare Holden picked up a win at No. 6 and the Golden Eagles (3-3) evened its season record with a 9-0 whitewash of Central Christian (Kan.) this afternoon.

    The men’s and women’s tennis teams fell in straight sets on Tuesday afternoon at Arkansas – Ft. Smith as the Golden Eagles were unable to capture a single point until the rain forced an early exit on the men’s side.

    Saucedo Leads Women’s Tennis to Weekend Split

    Junior Krizana Saucedo pushed her singles’ mark to 4-0 on the season and the Golden Eagle women’s tennis program (2-2) split a pair of matches this weekend, falling to Ottawa (Kan.), 5-4, on Friday (March 6) before regrouping for an easier 7-2 victory over Midland (Neb.) on Saturday (March 7).
