The Golden Eagles claimed third place at the NAIA Unaffiliated Group regional tournament, falling in a hard-fought 5-2 match against Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) before breezing to a 5-0 sweep over the University of the Southwest (N.M.) today at the Tennis Complex on the campus of the University of Tulsa.

Krizana Saucedo’s 6-0, 6-0 singles victory at No. 5, coupled with her hand in an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles, powered the Golden Eagles to an easy 8-1 win over Oklahoma Wesleyan, its second in two weeks. The men didn’t fare as well, however, falling in its second-consecutive match to the Eagles, losing 6-3 to remain winless on the season.
