Five John Brown University athletic programs were honored for the second consecutive season as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its 2014-15 Scholar-Team Awards, which included 1,502 programs across the country.

For the first time in Sooner Athletic Conference history, the league has announced a conference-wide All-Academic team, and John Brown has added 13 more honorees in winter and spring sports to its original total of 33 after fall competition.

The John Brown women’s tennis team (4-4) maintained a .500 season average today after taking a 6-3 decision from Southwestern Christian (Okla.) before falling 9-0 to No. 10 Oklahoma Baptist this afternoon at the OBU Tennis Courts.
