    Men's Golf Grabs Sixth Place in Bethany

    Despite added five shots to its card on day two of the Bethel (Kan.) Spring Invitational, the Golden Eagle men’s golf team managed to card a two-day 310-315-625 to capture a tie for sixth place out of the 19-team tournament field this evening at the Sand Creek Station Golf Club.

    Men’s Golf Slips Three Spots, Finishes 14th at NAIA Contender

    Led by a pair of strong starts from senior Sam Greenleaf and sophomore Trevor Barton, the Golden Eagles finished the first round in 11th place, but a difficult time in the second round secured 14th for John Brown at the NAIA Contender, held at the TPC Four Seasons in Irving, Texas.

    John Brown Student-Athletes Post 3.10 GPA in Fall Semester

    John Brown University Director of Athletics Robyn Daugherty announced today (Jan. 9) that Golden Eagles student-athletes posted a 3.10 grade-point average for the Fall 2014 semester and that seven of 11 programs earned GPAs over the 3.00 mark.

    Sophomore Trevor Barton turned in the card of his collegiate career today as he finished off a two-round 142, landing him in a tie for fifth on the leaderboard, helping the Golden Eagles finish 10th at the Southwestern Christian (Okla.) Fall Invitational this evening.
